Orientation

New Navitas students will take part in the UMass Dartmouth orientation activities. The University has designed a special Orientation Program to welcome all new students to campus. This introduction to the University provides an opportunity to let us help you make the transition as smooth as possible.

Coming to Orientation will give you an early opportunity to familiarise yourself with the campus, meet other students, finalise your course selection for the semester prior tp when your classes begin. During this orientation program, you will receive academic advising, meet faculty advisors, peer counsellors and staff members who will be ready to work closely with you.

In addition to important workshops on topics related to starting your academic career as a Corsair, we have also planned social and recreational activities especially for you. Through working and participating in small groups, you will meet other students and gain a better understanding of some of the important issues on today's college campuses. You will also become familiar with the campus and the resources available to you. Each student will receive individual attention in these small groups.

We believe you will find orientation an enjoyable and informative experience. We are anxious to meet you and look forward to your arrival on campus!

What happens at Orientation?

  • Receive an orientation kit
